Cabot was asked to participate in Dairy Night at the Fisher Cats Baseball game in Manchester, NH.
I was lucky enough to be selected to represent Cabot for the event doing exit sampling, and having two of my Grandsons along to keep me company.
The boys were invited to throw out some opening pitches before the game, so here are a few pictures from the evening.
We arrived early as usual so we had time to look around and see the area, and I really wanted to take a picture of the beautiful church I could see in the horizon and got the boys to stand in front to sorta help hide the railing.:-), just kid'n fella's.

Just as we finished setting up to sample

People started to leave a little early since the Sea Dogs were in Control at this point.

A few minutes after this picture was taken the Fireworks finished and we got clobbered by the the exit crowd.
It was full bore from then until 10:30 when our cheese supply was depleted.
We all had a blast and everyone loved Cabot Cheese and the Plaid Van.
I am still always surprised at that people, even from this area, that never realized that Cabot is Farmer owned.

What I saw out my kitchen window when I turned the coffee pot on.

After I got my morning dose of Caffeine, then threw in a mixture of Greek Yogurt, Grapes and Walnuts, I headed out to the Cabot Van, which had been comfortably sleeping out back all night.

I'm glad I didn't spend the night with the Van though because from looking at it's thermometer when I started it I think my wood stove location was much better, like 96 degrees better.

Almost as soon as I pulled out I scared the heck out of this deer and even though I was pretty fast on the draw with my camera it was not fast enough to get a good shot of the deer.
I don't think it was as excited about our meeting as I was, of course I'm sure it wasn't real comfortable with a Hunters Plaid Van approaching either.

I arrived at Trapp's a bit early, but I didn't want to be late, and it allowed me to at least I get a choice parking spot.

I just started in on setting up the tents, mainly to keep warm, and it worked.
So by the time the Vermont State boys showed up I was all set to go and Me and Ida were waiting on skiers and spectators to show up.
She's pretty shy actually because she never spoke much at all, just sorta stared all morning:-)

At this point the course was looking pretty pristine.
But that was about to change big time.

Then the Mammut Extreme Outdoor wear guys showed up with a pretty elaborate set-up

One of the Trapp family members stopped by and thanked Cabot for being there and for the Sponsorship.
She introduced herself and I forget her 1st name, but she stopped by several times over the 2 days I was there., very nice lady, excited and very interested in hosting a successful event.
Which I personally feel she accomplished.

Kim had given me a couple of aprons when I was in Thursday so when I went to the food trailer to get some coffee I took the aprons to the cooks to wear over the weekend, if they would.
This young lady and her Mom were very happy to have them, and wore them while they were serving food, so I thought that was nice of them, and I even got a hug, double bonus.

A little later on Saturday the Vermont Peanut Butter Guy showed so I was hooked up for snacks trying peanut butter all day too.
We both had a really good day.

Video of the 1st Race Friday
15 K NASCAR Shotgun Start, one racer was knocked unconscious in first turn but after a trip to the hospital he came back and was OK .
Made me realize that what I do when I cross country ski compared to them is merely taking a leisurely walk in the woods with boards on my feet :-)

By the time the races were over about 2:00, the spectators were mostly gone so we started packing it in and headed home.
I felt like we had a really good event I met skiers and coaches from all over, some as far away as Alaska.
He was a really good excitable guy about Cabot, about the event, and about Vermont.
He was glad to be a part of it, and so was I.
