"Agri" Farmers Make Their "Mark"

I left home mid morning Wednesday to make my way down to Waitsfield to pick up a Van and then head on over to the Fairgrounds in Syracuse for the NY State Farm Show.
Once I got underway the rain started and the roads were a bit slippery but nothing earth shattering until I crossed over into NY then started into the high country of the Adirondacks.
Even with the presence of some slush and ice it wasn't an awful trip over there, I arrived, found a room, checked in, and hit the sheets for my early start Thursday Morning.
I had to get in the Horticulture Building early to get set up, and cube some cheese in advance of the onslaught when the opening whistle blew.
However according to the Security I was there too early to get in but they couldn't resist my charm and relented so I got to go in and get started about 5:00 AM, so I got lucky and got my basic setup and cheese cubed up pretty much on time.

A little later I was about ready to go and realized I only had 3 bowls with me, which wasn't enough, and on top of that I was leaving a day early and had to have some bowls for the gang that would be working Saturday, so I had to find a Wally World and buy some to fix the problem, and as one would suspect there was a Walmart about 2 miles away.
Then I filled the bowls and got things really to roll.

I was a busy boy all day from bell to bell, which is the way it should be and we had all kids of people from all over the place too, had some Amish families from PA. Farmers from VT. even had one guy show up that lived in Waitsfield right near the office.
Got through day one with no issues what so ever, and it was good day, but we were all pretty tired, its a long day standing on the concrete with not much movement of you legs plus leaning over the table pretty much all day.
The room I grabbed for day one was definitely not a 5 star motel so I did not have a good nights sleep which didn't help either.
Jeff graciously arranged to get me a room where they were staying so we all went there, had a great supper, and then I turned in for the night and got some much needed sleep.
Woke up Friday to a nice fresh layer of snow which I was cleaning off about 5:00 AM to get ready to head to the Fairgrounds.

Got there early and had a chance to look around at some of the stuff for sale I was amazed at all the new stuff and companies over there. It almost looks like with all the modern technology you could farm with a laptop sit'n in the kitchen, well not exactly, but there are some pretty modern creations out there.

If they do happen to injure a cow they have stuff to fix em and make em feel better.

They also had tons of new equipment for Crop production and harvesting as well.
Once things got rolling we were flat out busy all day with 12 or so people at, or waiting at, the table all day long, not to mention all the discussion about milk production/pricing too, so Jeff, Dave, Linda and I were steady all day and it was a good couple of day's for us.
Not sure how they made out Saturday but I'm sure it was about the same all day, But I was off to Sienna College for the Womens Expo for the weekend.
