Gilroy, California has been named as the Garlic Capital of the world making America, by Proxy, the Home of the Garlic Capital of the World.
Adding to that the city of Chicago derived its name from the Indian name for Garlic which was, “Chicagoua” it was abundant in the Chicago area.
As the French settled in the area they adopted that name for the region, then over time converted the name "Chicagoua" to a French rendering, spelling it "Chicagou"
Then later on, as typical for this country we shortened it to Chicago, so America can definitely lay claim to the title,
The "Garlic Capital" of the World.
But for this weekend we are claiming the Garlic Title for the State of Vermont at the 21st Annual Garlic and Herb Festival, and what better way to do that than exposing everyone to our delicious Garlic and Herb Cheddar Cheese produced by the World Famous Cabot Creamery..
Courtesy of all the great Cabot Farmers Like one of the locals
The Corse Farm in Whittington, VT and many others.
So lets just get to it..
~Cabot was cutting the Cheese, but all I could smell and think about was the
Smell of Garlic of course

Attendance Record was broken Saturday and Sunday with over 8K Saturday and another 7K Sunday, all I know is that I was flat out both days..
It was a great event and even though I was tired when all was said and done I was Happy To Participate.
