~Cabot "Curdled" the Vermont Farm Show~

For the most part while preparing a meal or a nice desert etc, curdling is an "uh oh" moment, especially while making a pudding or gravy etc but in our case of course, curdling is mandatory .
So on Monday morning Romeo and I "separated" ourselves from home and were on our "whey" over to the Champlain Valley Expo
to set up for our 8:30 whistle Tuesday morning, we arrived there right on time for the 12:30 set up time.
Once we located a cart to lug things in we started getting set up and we got the basic set up finished and ready to got for our Tuesday Morning Cow Bell.
We were one of the 1st ones there and we were in the same spot as last year sitting right next to Nationwide Insurance, I won't hum the AD like Peyton Manning does but I've bet you've heard it already, but for this event they actually are,
"on our side".
When we arrived Tuesday morning it did not take long to put the finishing touches on, just sitting out all the samples of cheese and yogurt etc, I had
pre-cubed a bunch of cheese to help at the onset never knowing just how busy it will get early on.
I made a strong effort to get the best possible arrangement for the Whey Powder.
The Whey powder generated a lot of interest from the visitors, lots of reading and questions about availability, purposeful usage etc.
Although it has been many years ago for me being active in building and improving muscle mass but I am aware of the lost of muscle mass as we age, even though we might still be very active, it can result in loss of strength, losing balance and possible falls, bone breakage etc
Adding protein as we age gets hard through basic food sources alone because of the added calories and cholesterol involved in increased protein intake, etc.
So our Whey Powder is an excellent source.
Anyway there was quite a bit of interest in the Powder & I am curious to see how having it available in a new retail outlet source and the added exposure effect sales

We were busy all day Tuesday from whistle to whistle, once people started to filter in, and doing both Yogurt and Cheese kept us going steady all day.
Wednesday was a VERY busy day since the FFA students around the state were out of school and visiting so they were very curious and with that teenage insatiable appetite they kept our table lit up with bright shiny faces all day like this group from Woodstock
The USDA table was across the way and they loved the cheddar, but I think they were a tad jealous we were stealing the show in our aisle..:-)
Romeo standing guard so the FFA wouldn't eat us out of house and home.
When I had a chance to walk around it was interesting to see some of the other vendors there, amazingly large pieces of equipment inside like the big Massey Ferguson Tractor.
Not Counting all the equipment outside.
Nice Looking Little Morgan Horse.
The Vermont Cheese Council was there.
Too many other things there to even include here.
Eva McKend from WCAX tried to travel around incognito but I spotted her and snapped a picture of us, she loved the Alpine, yes the Cheese, not the Region.
Romeo and I had a fun 3 days and we met lots of old friends and made some new one's as well.
We thought it was a very successful and worthwhile event and we were happy to be a part of it.
Jim Ov'rn and Out.
PS, Thank You Margo..
