Cabot Cheese Lights Up the Producers Fair
Left home a little early since it was pretty foggy at my house, out the door about 7:00
About the time I got to St Johnsbury the air was mostly clear other than in the hollows.
I got to the Co-op a bit early but they were hard at it getting the tents all set up and ready to go

I went in checked in, and spoke to the dairy manager about the cheese and the procedure for taking the cheese off the shelf to sample.
The wind was pretty stiff at first so I snap tied my backdrop to the tent pole, taped down all my sign-age, and got things ready to go.

All set up other than cubing and loading the bowls waiting for it to get a little closer to kick off since I was in direct sunlight where I was .
The lady from the bread company next to me never showed for the day so after a couple of hours I got some help to move my table into the shade and get the other table out of there, which was MUCH better.
The Hay Ride man arrived and got right to work hauling kids around the compound.
When the 10:00 AM whistle blew people started to file in and it was busy for the entire day.
Different time, same traffic flow.
Traffic was little skimpier on the far left of the store front, since people were gathered around the tent with a magic act performing.
My table had people there all day long but not so much that I couldn't have fun chatting, promoting and answering questions about Cabot Cheese.
There was a Blue Grass Band playing almost solid all day but they were quite good to
listen too, and not real loud, which made it better than most functions with a band playing, when you leave with a headache and a sore throat.
Things were steady all day until time to shutdown, got picked up and headed
home, no one on I 91, so I breezed on back home stopping on the way to pick up a chicken dinner at the Craftsbury Masonic Lodge , and they said the Cabot cheese donation we were raffling off was doing great and they really appreciate the help of the Cabot Farmers to raise money for our Scholarship Program we award every year.
Had fun and I was glad to be a part of what was a worthwhile day.
