Cabot Cheese Welcomes
"Vermont Lake Monster Fans"
Me and a couple of my local grandsons Bryson & Riley were given the opportunity to welcome the fans who came to watch the "Lake Monsters" host the West Virginia Black Bears on Saturday Night, while thanking them for supporting the Cabot Farmers and the local ball team.
It had been a while since I had been at Centennial Field, and the 1st time ever
representing the Cabot Farmers.
Since the Cabot Vans were not available I had to create a "make shift " Version out of my personal van,
As seen below, along with my 2 "assistants" for the evening.
I had brought my camera along as usual, all ready to go, fully charged, cleaned etc, the only thing I forgot was the memory card, and it took me several pictures before I figured out that I had not replaced it, so it became a worthless paper weight for the evening.
I had to use my cell phone after that, and I am not what you would call real adept at using that.
There was several "Big" trucks there for viewing, Dump trucks, Cement Mixers, Firetrucks etc, which I did take pictures of but with no memory card !
Picture of the fans wandering around before the game, so we were mixing with and talking to the fans about Cabot and Baseball
Boys working the crowd as they were filing in.
Sorry I cut your 1/2 your head off Bryson, but I got all of the shirt. :-)
Things were moving quickly at this point so for a couple of hrs we were going pretty hard.
We were turning ft long hot dogs into "Cheese Dogs" right and left.
You can see Riley working the crowd

We passed out 400 bars of "Seriously Sharp" before the game started,
OK, OK !, 398 I ate 2 of them..geeeez.
Watching the warm up's.
So as soon as we finished, we cleaned up our site and went in and found a couple of seats, we didn't actually have ticket's, so we were trespassing, but got away with it.
Cabot Cheese will do that for you..

It was a tight ball game with the Lake Monsters leading 2 to 1 when the 7th inning stretch came along, so in order to beat the crowd, and get back home after a long day of golf, cheese, and baseball, we left.
Evidently Cabot had more impact on the game than we figured because after the 7th inning stretch without us, the
"Black Bears" came back with a fury in the 8th & 9th inning and spanked the Lake Monsters for a 7-3 victory.

Sorry about not having more pictures I'll do better next time.
I'm just glad I was able to be there for all the fun and excitement.
Looked like around 3K fans or so there, so it was a nice boisterous crowd.
We were well received with lots of smiles and Thank You's, of course if
"Seriously Sharp doesn't make you smile then your face doesn't own one.
