Cabot Cheese Does the Fishing & Hunting Expo

You are thinking why on earth are we doing a hunting and fishing Expo ?
Well I say why on earth not.
Many reasons, almost everyone breathing loves Cabot Cheese #1.

And outdoor people who hunt and fish maybe more than anyone else, it is a perfect food to take with you while exploring or hunting and even fishing.
Actually it make a very very good fish bait and also a very good lure for things like Bears, Coyotes, Foxes, Bob Cats etc.

Most everyone remembers when we had "Hunters" Seriously Sharp Right ?
I get the question at almost every event from some long time Cabot fan, "why did you stop making the "Hunters" I loved that cheese", and then I just explain the name alteration..and they smile..

Ok Moving on I left home early Saturday morning to make sure to make the 9:00 AM deadline for being set up.

Go there about 7:00 took forever to find the parking facility, where to get unloaded, get unloaded find my spot and wheel the goods into the place winding around displays and other people, finally got it got set up then looked around before the whistle blew for the start.

Things were looking good people stopping right away talking and asking questions.
After about an hr, a lady stopped by from the Manchester Health Dept and said we had not filed for a permit to sample and we had to shut down.
I wish she hadn't "horned" in on what was to be a great day.

No one from the event organizer said we had to have one, I tried my best to see if I could get one but it would have to wait until Monday, she said the cheese had to be kept on ice at about 42°.

I didn't say anything but I was thinking about if we were sampling, Fondue, Mac and Cheese or maybe grilled Cheese sandwiches.
Somebody in the Department needs a wake-up call.

Anyway I had to fold the tent, reverse all the work, and boogie back home a very disgruntled man.

I did take some pictures and had made some plans about what I was going to do with the event so I did a little bit of it even though I am disappointed.

Had fun for an hr or so.
Glad I was asked to do it HATE that we couldn't.
