Located in Queensbury NY.
The town was named after Queen Charlotte the Consort of King George III
when she was honored by the Title of the "Marquess of Queensbury"
John Douglas the 9th "Marquess of Queensbury" endorsed the excepted
Marquess of Kingsbury "Rules of Boxing" when he was in that position, rules which are still widely excepted today.
So even though I was not there to box I suppose I needed to follow some of the "Queensbury Rules" to avoid any issues.
Rules like Hugging or Wrestling, and if I slipped and fell I would have had to get up unassisted to avoid being counted out etc.
There are more but I think they might be the most likely violations, certainly not punching below the belt,
Even though thats where the cheese will end up.
Had enough yet?
Yeah me too.

I'll move on along.

Left home about 9:45 which was a little early but I had a couple of stops to make.
We had received a pretty hefty snowfall overnight so I had to make a couple of runs to get out of my dooryard, Ron had not been here to plow yet, so after a couple of runs I managed to punch my way out of my door yard on the town road.

No issues with the roads going down at all, as I got south of here the snow was pretty insignificant and I don't think Rutland had received any snow it was bare ground down there for the most part.
So on down to Queensbury the roads were not an issue at all.
I got there pretty early and was surprised at the large crowd, but I did not know that the Special Olympics was having an event there and it was in full swing and crowded.
I watched a couple of events and it was very enjoyable watching them compete.
Managed to find my contact person there and find my location which was unavailable at the time because of the crowd at the lodge.
Once those events were over, other than the awards ceremony, the crowds dropped considerably.
Once that wound down we could go in find our spot and begin to get set-up for the Scheduled 4::00 Event
The West Mountain Ski Festival promoted by "i Heart" Radio
The Rock Band "Star Society" was ready and waiting to get set-up to perform.
Did not take me very long to get ready once I found a parking spot ,and got my stuff hauled inside. Which was a chore, muddy parking lot.

THE JOINT WAS PACKED.
My Neighbor was almost finished as well.
Star Society was getting tuned up and ready.
The Skiers and Snowboarders were getting set for the Festival to start.
Lines for the chair lift.

People were running around everywhere
Outside
And Inside
Later as the sun was going down they turned the lights on and by then things were starting to get going.
They Kept a nice fire going outside all night which was a pretty nice spot to sit and watch and warm yourself.
Pretty busy night but LOUD and I was near the band as usual, if there is one thing I am good at it is being located where the noise is coming from, so I can leave work with an ear ache and a sore throat..:-)
It was a pretty nice event with both activities on the same day with quite a bit of carry over from the Special Olympics competition from earlier.
Those kids and young adults have a lot of fun participating in those because win lose or draw, they have a big smile on their faces when they finish.
Not like me :-(

Lots of old Cabot Fans and a few New Ones acquired from our visit, the diverse locations and farmer owned concept, and the Lactose free awareness we bring to the table all had a big impact.
Had the best kind of trip back home, large coffee, no traffic, no bad roads, not sleepy, and country music on the radio..:-)
Rolled back into the ranch about 11:30, just in time hit the the rack..
No! not the Squat rack! the sleeping one..:-)
Had fun and I was Glad I could be a part of it.
